Extra fabric no sew pillows and table runner

I had so much extra fabric I decided to make pillows and a table runner.

I wrapped an old pillow I had like a present and glued it on the pillow wiht fabric glue and just cut a peice ofr the table runner. Another easy project.

Chevron kitchen valance

I went to fabric.com and bought 2 and half yards of this red and white chevron fabric.
Minky Cuddle Chevron Red/Snow I paid about $23.00 with shipping.

Then I cut the fabric down to the size I wanted, no sewing or glue and used command hooks
to put the fabric up. SUPER EASYY!!!

Final product:

DIY spray paint cushions.

I wanted a blue theme in my backyard but I didn't want to spend $30.00 on new covers for each chair. So I searched and searched and found out you can spray paint fabric! So of course I gave it a try. I bought 8 bottles of  Krylon 12 Oz Gray Sandable Primer Spray Paint 51318 (Set of 6)the greenish blue color, they were on sale $2.00 a piece at walmart.

First I washed each cushion with soap and water and let them dry over night. Make sure they are 100% dry before you start.

Next, I spray painted the front of each one first then the back then the front and the back again, two coats some needed three. This is very time consuming but totally worth it.

Ignore the grass I should have spray painted over something else. ugh..

DIY bling to your garage!

I am in love with the new houses with the awesome bling on their garages but not the price tag that comes with them.

So I did some internet searching and found bling for the garage for $22.98 at home depot! You can also find on ebay magnetic ones but the ones I did invovled screwing them into the garage.

DIY mirrors

I tried adding crown molding to my master mirror but it did not work! So instead I spent a little bit more money but it was well worth it. I was lucky that my huge bathroom mirror was not glued onto the wall so with my husbands help we took it down and the wall looked perfect. We did not even have to paint.

I went to a couple of stores, kohls, target, walmart, bed bath and beyond and looked online. The cheapest place I found these two mirrors were at Ross for $29.99 each. This project cost me $60.00 total and my super awesome father in law hung them up for me.

Shoe rack DIY

I had some extra space in my closet and wanted a shoe rack in the back corner.

I had some left over mdf from when I framed my mirrors so I cut it down to the size I wanted with my mitter saw and painted it brown to match the closet theme.  Then I drilled a hole in board and straight to the wall. Super easy project!

Final product....

DIY Stain concrete

So when we bought our house the outdoor concrete had a huge black ugly line in the middle of it. I needed a cheap and easy way to make it pretty so I googled and came across concrete stain.

I went to lowes and talked to the guy who told me all about this wonderful product.
Valspar Gallon Vaquero Brown Semi-Transparent Concrete Stain
It is amazing and cost just under $25.00. You will only use about 1/2 the can but keep it to touch it up.
I bought a rolling brush and pan at walmart for around $4.50 and that is all you need.

Next you just wash and scrub your concrete so it is all clean and let it completely dry for 24 hours.

Then you are ready to paint. It soaks in really quick and I only did one coat, no primer or concealer. Took me about 30 minutes to do and cost less than $30.00 total. Love the way this looks!!
