Firefighter signs

My husband is a firefighter and was given an award for helping at West, Texas. I wanted to hang up his accomplishments so I decided I would make some firefighter wood boards.

Materials:
All I used were these paint pens
and a 2x2ft thin board from lowes, (had them cut a 24x12in and two 12x12in boards) And used the paint below to stain the boards.

I painted the boards and then scraped off
The extra paint to make the boards look like this

I let them dry over night and then googled this firefighter saying to paint on the 24in by 12 in with my paint pens

And I made this on the 12 in by 12 in

The last 12 by 12 inch board is for his award. With a clip on top.
(I blurred it out but you get the idea :))

Here is the final product. I hung these up by using poster command hooks.

This project cost me $5 for the wood boards, $2 for the white paint pen and the red one I borrowed from a friend.
I already had the paint and command hooks but it cost about $7.00. If you do not have any of the materials the whole project will cost you under $15.
