Label

So I am very OCD and love organizing.

As I am setting up the baby's nursery I am realizing I have lots of bins but needed to have them organized.

As you know from other posts my colors are turquoise, pink, white, and brown so I found this labeling tape at Walmart for $2.00 in pink.

It is amazing!!

Best part, if you mess up or want to relabel, it comes right off!

I am not sure if I like using a pink paint pen to write on it or just regular white paint yet. ( I may also try a white paint pen and see what I like better) Anyway here is what they turn out looking like

You can't read that very well but it says blankets.

That's an example of the pink paint pen
That's an example of the white paint.

Again I love this cheap and easy idea of labeling.

Here is a sneak peak of what the closet looks like so far...

Diy bow holder

What an easy project.

I bought this frame 70% off at hobby lobby a while ago

Took off the back pieces
Bought this ribbon for $2.00 at Walmart
Cut it and stapled it with my staple gun on the back of the frame 1.5 inches apart.
(Make sure it is tight) tada you have a bow holder :).

I'll post more pictures once I have bows and it's hanging in Kylie's room.

Total project cost
$10 frame
$2 ribbon

$12.00

I may go back and add small hooks to I can hang head bands...

Update. I added the hooks bought a pack for .97 cents at Walmart of small silver hooks painted them white drilled holes and screwed them in...

Final product, in love!!!

Nursery so far

When I found out for sure it was a girl I already had an idea of what the nursery would look like. My vision was pink, white, brown and turquoise themed.

Before:

My husband picked out the pink paint from Walmart (he did a great job). We loved the way it looked only $11 for the gallon and we even had extra left over! Here are some pictures of the walls, we left one wall the original color so it wouldn't be too much pink (even though there is no such thing):
Next I ordered 96 circle wall decals $18 and name decal $25 from amazon with free shipping. I got them in 3 days!! Love them.

My next project was the closet:

I put some of the wall decals in here to give it some color:

I ordered the closet maid 9 storage unit $39 and 4 storage baskets (2 brown 2 turquoise) $22 from target. Put it together tada easy storage.

On top I wanted more storage containers so I bought two white buckets from IKEA $1.99 each (great deal during the holiday break) and 6 different size turquoise containers $7.99

The crib was a great deal we couldn't pass up, we bought this crib when I was 6 weeks pregnant. It is a Carter Johnston chesnut crib for $75.00!!

We were lucky enough that my husbands parents saved his dresser and changing table that matches the crib perfectly! Free :)

Bought this bookshelf about a year ago at a garage sale so I painted it to match the rest of the furniture. I used this paint,
Here is a picture painted ...
cost $8.

I have been looking everywhere for the perfect turquoise and white rug and after searching everywhere and not wanting to pay $300+ for a rug. I found this at Ross 5x7 for $29.99 what a STEAL!!!

Do it yourself bow hanger, had the frame, so bought ribbon $2.00 total.

(If you want to see how to make it I have a tutorial on the blog)

Total so far for the nursery: $241.99

Announcement...

There were so many fun creative ways to announce our little one so we did them all :).

So easy and cheap to make. Went to Home Depot got a board for around $5 had them cut it down to the size I wanted. Painted it black with regular black paint $.69 and then used paint pens to write what I wanted it to say. Again so easy and cheap!!

Firefighter signs

My husband is a firefighter and was given an award for helping at West, Texas. I wanted to hang up his accomplishments so I decided I would make some firefighter wood boards.

Materials:
All I used were these paint pens
and a 2x2ft thin board from lowes, (had them cut a 24x12in and two 12x12in boards) And used the paint below to stain the boards.

I painted the boards and then scraped off
The extra paint to make the boards look like this

I let them dry over night and then googled this firefighter saying to paint on the 24in by 12 in with my paint pens

And I made this on the 12 in by 12 in

The last 12 by 12 inch board is for his award. With a clip on top.
(I blurred it out but you get the idea :))

Here is the final product. I hung these up by using poster command hooks.

This project cost me $5 for the wood boards, $2 for the white paint pen and the red one I borrowed from a friend.
I already had the paint and command hooks but it cost about $7.00. If you do not have any of the materials the whole project will cost you under $15.

Must have wedding pictures

This cake was made by my mother for my bridal shower! She is very talented.
I am a huge fan of the wire name wedding hangers. They are so easy to make!
Love this picture, of the in-laws and parents and the new couple kissing.
My sister bought me this lovely sweat suit with the future mrs. Sullivan written on it, great pictures and very comfortable!
Since my husband played college football and I am a die hard Texas Tech fan, we put a Texas Tech garter on a football. The boys were way more willing to catch it.
Loved my wedding shoes but the picture is to show you how cheap you can add the I DO stickers. Total 1.99 at hobby lobby!
