She's here

What a crazy day! On Saturday morning I woke up and went to the gym, got my nails done took some meds and around 12 pm I began to have contractions or what I thought was bathroom pains. Around 8 pm they become consistent  pains and after talking to Stacey and her nurse friend and tracking my contractions with an app I realized they were in fact contractions. At 11 pm after an hour of timing them I woke up Tyler, I showered and we headed with everything to the hospital. One day before her due date, well one hour before. We got there at 11:30pm and I was 3 cm 90 % efaced so the nurse said we are staying and having a baby by 9am. (This time changes 3 times) At 1:45 I got the epideral and boy oh boy was I so nervous to get and it turned out to be no big deal! Thank goodness for drugs I slept through every single contraction up until I was 2 minutes apart and my doctor made me stop pushing the button for more :/. At 2:00 am they put the Cath. in and I was 3cm dilated and 100% efaced so they gave me Pitocin and then at 4:00 my water broke. I continued to sleep until my doctor came in and said let's start pushing we will have her by noon well that didn't work. My contractions were 30 second apart for 3 hours! I pushed for 2.5 and was told if we passed the 2 hour mark I would have a csection. We passed that time but I didn't want to have to go through both so after a long long time of pushing, at 2:34 pm, Kylie Sofia was born, weighing 9 lbs 13oz 22inchs. No you aren't seeing a typo she was HUGE!!!

We got to spend a little time with her about an hour and then all 20 family members got to come in and see her for 5 minutes. Then at 6 pm the nurse took her because she was breathing heavy and she ended up in the nicu till late Tuesday night. Our doctor extended our stay so we wouldn't leave without her (thank goodness bc I am not sure I could have left her) and she got to come home with us after various tests and a couple tears, Tuesday, April 30th at 8:45.

My world has changed forever and I never imagined how happy and how much love I could have for such a little thing.

Say hello to Kylie Sofia

Diy wine bottle favor labels

My sisters theme was red and black so we stuck with the invitations and made these 2x3 sticker to put on the wine bottles. My parents wanted the label to show so everyone knew what type it was or you can make a bigger sticker to cover the whole bottle.

200 labels cost $11.00 and we took then to Office Depot to get printed. $.49 per page and there are 10 per page.

Here is what they look like.

Chalk board sign

It is my birthday month so kohls sent me a $10 gift card and I found this project piece.

It wasn't a color I liked but I did like that it has a chalk board and cork board! This was 75% off for a grand total of $23.00 still kind of pricey but with my free $10 giftcard I couldn't pass it up for $13.00!

At first I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with it then it hit me, perfect for the nursery! So I painted it turquoise chalky color.
Turquoise paint plus white dry non-sanded grout mixed in.
I did two coats and I loved it!

I knew it needed something more so I added a fushia flower with wood glue. (had the flower laying around in my craft junk drawer.)
And for the final touch I wanted to add Kylie Sofia on it so I went to hobby lobby use a coupon and bought these stickers for $1.89
And monogramed the board for K's nursery.

This adorable makeover cost under $15.00 and was so easy to make.

Here is the final product hung up!

Diy wedding card holder

Supplies:
Victoria secret box
2, 2 oz black paint $1.00
Red thick ribbon $2.00 for stool
Fake flowers $.99
Paint brush had
Exacto knife had
Printer had
Paper had
Modgepodge had

This whole project cost me around $4.00 and it's super easy.

First I got the box. Painted the inside and outside probably two or three coats.

After it dried I used the exacto knife to cut a hole big enough to fit envelopes.

Then I cut one long piece of the ribbon and modgepodged it on to the box.

Cut off one flower and pierced it into te box.

Printed a sign from my printer that matched her theme and tada we have a super cheap wedding card holder.

Dresser re-do

I  went shopping at a merchantile place around here and found this awesome project piece $20
I had no idea what I was going to do with it until I got home. What a perfect idea to paint it and put it in the nursery, you can never have 2 much storage. So I grabbed teal paint and went to work
I painted the top and inside drawers then added some circle stickers to go with my theme.

Here is a picture of it in the nursery.
